These last two months, I’ve been laying low… taking my weekends easy because before long, almost every weekend is going to be jam packed with good stuff.

Yes, as typical, I bite off more than I can chew. But the good thing, is that being busy does tends to keep me out of trouble. Even though I’ve hated that the rain has kept things low key and kept me from traveling to find new dirt, it’s been good to chill for a little while.
Tomorrow is the first race of the season.
I’m trying not to get too worked up about it – because my #1 focus is to have fun. If I take it seriously, I run the risk of over obsessing and it becoming *work* (not fun). None the less, I’ll do the little drive up to wine country and pedal fast(ish) for my first mountain bike XC race in a long time. It’ll be fun (and a little nerve wracking) to do something new.
On the heels, will be a metric century up in Solvang, CA – which is beautiful coastal, wine country. And then it’s off to Hawaii to work and explore new trails. (I know, someone’s gotta live the life!) All that by the end of March. Don’t even get me started about the rest of spring and early summer!
I’m excited to be coming out of winter! Do you have any springtime plans that you’re excited about?
