Signing to her favorite tune. Picking his nose. A heated arguement. Talking on her cell phone. Popping a zit (yuck!) Gazing a her new (?) engagement ring. Mom’s spacing out and the her son is focused on texting. It’s a amazing what I see when I’m commuting to and from work on my bike. Stop lights… Read More The Things I See…
I know that my body isn’t ready to race…it’s just now starting to get used to working out again after the holidays. But after this weekend – I’m already considering a race in a few weeks. This weekend EJ and I went to Vail Lake to play – and everyone was ‘practicing’ the downhill runs… Read More Itching to Race
The holidays are over. There are pounds to be shed. And even though I know in my head that getting my fitness back will not be ‘comfortable’… it still sucks. I know that it’s completely unreasonable to think that I’ll wake up and suddenly be my fit self again…. but it doesn’t keep me from… Read More Getting fit again – sucks

EJ and I headed out to Sedona for some great mountain biking. It’s certainly one of our favorite… Read More Training is easier without Work
At a bit of altitude (5000ft) and much more technical than my normal rides – Sedona is the perfect place to push my limits. In truth, I was really happy when we were sitting around the fire pit, talking to guys from the Vail, CO area who race regularly – and even they admitted that… Read More Sedona Riding
After a 7 hours drive from San Diego, we’re here! Lovely Sedona… where we’ll be riding and hiking (and eating) all weekend. Couldn’t get in a log ride yesterday – but we certainly were able to get in at least a short ride!! More to come!
This week = NO biking what-so-ever. I guess I gotta expect some weeks like this; especially when I travel. (I really don’t count any ‘miles’ logged on the hotel stationary bike). I tried hard at the beginning of the week – but San Diego was rainy. It’s not that we’re wimps (well, maybe) when it… Read More Zip, Zil, Nada
